The dog cage for a car is made from three wire panels (11, 12, 13) linked by simple hinges to fold flat when not in use. When errected, the cage encloses a floor space adjacent to a car door, with the car door forming one side, two of the panels two sides, and the bulkhead or seat back the fourth side. The third panel (13) forms a hinged lid. The dogs are transported in a fully-enclosed space on the floor, with no damage to the seats. They are fully protected and cannot interfere with the driver. The cage can be assembled in a normal saloon car and also enables vets etc. to carry sick animals. |
