<p>The H-section steel piles (1) have interlocking connectors (2-5) on the ends of the flanges. The tongue part of each of the outer connectors (2, 4) faces towards the central axis (A) of the wall, whereas the tongues of the inner connectors (3, 5) face outwards. The arrangement of the connectors permits a stepped wall to be constructed, facilitating deviation round obstructions. In conventional H-section piles the outer connectors are a mirror image, about the wall axis, of the inner ones.</p> |
