PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency, encasing of articles e.g. fluorescent lamps is mechanized. CONSTITUTION:Corrugated cardboard box A is conveyed by intermittent motion of supply chain, and the one side wall C of the box A is sucked and drawn out by suck and draw member 24 at the end of the conveyor, and also the other side wall D is opened by bar shaped expand member. Thus opened box A is conveyed by feed mechanism 4 while lower short flaps E are bent horizontally, to ecnasing position. At the encasing position, couveyor 37 conveys fluorescent lamps G which are encased in square cylindrical paper boxes respectively, and predetermind number of the lamps G are placed on table which is inserted in opening between the short flaps of the box A. By lowering of the toble, the lomps G are supported on the short flaps E in the box A with shock absorbing material H. After removing of the table, long flap F is bent and the box A is conveyed. |
