PURPOSE:To provide a medium less expensive than a PSZ medium and having an abrasion resistance equal or superior to the PSZ medium. CONSTITUTION:A medium for pulverizing a raw material is prepared by mixing 70-81wt.% of TiO2 component, 13-16wt.% of Al2O3 component, 3-5wt.% of SiO2 component, 0.8-13wt.% of ZrO2 component, and 0.03-0.8wt.% of Y2O3 component. The medium of this invention for pulverizing the raw material is not only less expensive in terms of a unit cost but also superior as compared with a PSZ medium. Moreover, the medium of this invention, when the raw material to be pulverized is TiO2, can avoid the deterioration of the raw material quality even if the abraded powder of the medium is mixed into the raw material. |
