In a ski 1 having a damping element 5 arranged in the region of a ski binding to dampen shocks acting in the region of the ski binding transversely to the longitudinal axis of the ski, having a supporting body 3 for at least one layer of damping material 5 arranged between the supporting body 3 and the ski 1, in particular an elastomeric damping material, the supporting body 3 is directly and rigidly connected to the topskin 7 of the ski in a central longitudinal section 4 lying between its front and rear ends in the longitudinal direction of the ski and joined before and behind the central longitudinal section 4 to the top of the ski 1 with the interposition of the damping material 5 as a result of which excellent torsional performance and satisfactory damping of the ski are simultaneously achieved. |
