PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide guide information appropriately depending on the traveling lane at the time of traveling on a road having a plurality of lanes by outputting a lane change guide depending on next guide information on a previously calculated course and the currently traveling lane. SOLUTION: After acquiring the current position of a vehicle (S11), guide information of an intersection to be guided next is acquired from a course data (S12) and the current position of a vehicle on a road data is calculated along with the distance to the guide intersection. Subsequently, traffic information is acquired from a road traffic information system VICS (S13). When a next guide intersection is present in the traffic information (S14), the traveling lane of a host vehicle is acquired from the lane information of the VICS to the next guide intersection (S15). Subsequently, a decision is made whether a predetermined distance to the guide intersection is present (S16) and when a predetermined distance is present, a decision is made whether the traveling lane corresponds to the advancing direction at the intersection (S17). When the traveling lane is a left turn lane and the advancing direction corresponds to left turn, an advancing direction guide at the guide intersection is outputted (S19). |
