PREPAID CARD ITS OPERATION METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate wrong acts given to a prepaid card system by transmitting card information to a personal computer for use of a prepaid card and checking a validity of the card based on the information on the card that is stored in the personal computer based on the card information received by the personal computer. SOLUTION: When a prepaid card 6-7 is set, a CR machine 6-1 transmits the card information to a local personal computer 6-5. The computer 6-5 checks whether any of its stored data is coincident with the card 6-7 based on the retrieval information long as the card 6-7 belongs to its own store. If the coincident data are recognized, the presence or absence of the card census registration is checked based on the retrieval information. If the card census registration is recognized, the current balance and the remaining frequency of the card are checked and the remaining frequency is display. When a ball purchase button is pushed, the computer 6-5 subtracts the ball purchase amount from the current balance and also returns an acknowledge to the machine 6-1. The machine 6-1 ejects the balls equivalent to the current frequency and also displays the subtracted remaining frequency.
