PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated electro-optical package which is used for a microminiature visual display device and has high resolution. SOLUTION: This integrated electro-optical package includes an array 10 consisting of a substrate 30 for regulating plural unit cells 12, 13, 14, 15 consisting of active 18 and inert regions 20, 21, 22 thereon. This substrate 30 includes a main surface 28, plural sub-arrays 24, 25, 26, 27 and driver/control circuits 34, 36, 36, 37. The sub-arrays 24, 25, 26, 27 regulate the active regions formed within the respective unit cells and consist of plural light emitting devices. These driver/control circuits 34, 36, 36, 37 are packaged to the substrate within the inert regions of the respective unit cells. The integrated electro-optical package enables the scanning of the active regions of the respective unit cells and eventually forms the integrated images of the high resolution without increasing the number of the pixels formed by the light emitting devices of the sub-arrays. |
