PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor sufficiently durable against a shock or a vibration from an exterior. SOLUTION: An oxygen sensor 1 comprises a sensor element 2 for changing an electric characteristic value between electrode terminals in response to an oxygen concentration of an exhaust gas, a body metal fitting 3 for containing the element 2, an insulating housing 32 for holding the terminals of the element 2 in the state in contact with a female contact 31, and a caulking ring 35 holding the housing 32 to hold the state for holding the terminals of the element 2 by the contact 31 by the housing 32. A plurality of legs 35a are extended downward from a peripheral edge of a lower end of the ring 35, and integrated with an outside of an inner cylindrical member 13 by welding or the like. Thus, if the sensor 1 receives an impact or a vibration from an exterior, the contact 20 mounted at the element 2 becomes a load to effectively prevent a deflection of the element 2. |
