PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirroring device capable of restoring remote volume on the opposite side by developing journal volume. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a controller 14 including journal volume receiving an I/O from a 1st host 10 and a controller 16 including volume being a development destination of the journal volume. When the controller 14 including the journal volume receives the I/O from the host 10, the journal volume is developed to the controller 16 including the volume being the development destination of the journal volume. In a 2nd host, remote volume is restored based on the developed journal volume and is stored in a controller 20 including the remote volume.
