摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly integrated device having conductivity and high responsiveness to light by manufacturing the device, using an organic material which can be finely processed and which has no dependence on crystallinity. SOLUTION: A conductive organic thin film 24c comprises organic molecules, each of which comprises an end bond group, having a covalent bonding with the surface of a substrate 21 which forms one end of the organic molecule, a conjugated bond group 25, which exists in any part of the organic molecule and is polymerized with other molecules, and a functional group (e.g., -N=N-) having responsiveness to light, which does not contain active hydrogen and which exists somewhere between the end bond group and the conjugated bond group. The organic molecules are aligned, and the conjugated bond groups are polymerized to form a conduction network. The conductive organic thin film 24c has functions of an optical switch which changes conductivity, when irradiated with light.
