The invention concerns an acoustic protection device for the body shell delimiting the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle comprising, arranged on the floor (1) of said passenger compartment, covering elements (5) made of a sound-absorbing material, and a lower acoustic panel (3) spaced apart opposite the floor, and linking means (11) between the floor, said elements and the panel. The invention is characterized in that the covering elements (5) are pressed against the lower surface of the floor by means of at least one pressing member (7) including at least one stepped profile in two parts, with at least one upper planar surface (8) pressed under the covering element (5) and at least one lower planar surface (9) secured to the acoustic panel.
