PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress permeation of reaction gas as much as possible with a simple structure, and strongly and excellently bond an electrolyte membrane/electrode structure to a resin frame member.SOLUTION: In a fuel cell 10, an electrolyte membrane/electrode structure 12 with a frame is sandwiched by a first separator 14 and a second separator 16. The fuel cell 10 has a frame-like film 50. In the frame-like film 50, an inside end 50a is interposed between a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 38 and a first gas diffusion layer 40b, extends outward while overlapping an outer peripheral end 38e of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 38, and overlaps a resin frame member 44.
