The blanket cylinder 1 of a rotary offset press is washed in situ by a wash roller 4 to which liquid for cleaning the roller 4 is supplied through a spray device 6 forming part of a pump operated recirculating and filtering system. The roller 4 is covered by felt and the contaminated liquid is removed from the roller 4 by a roller 7 adjustably pressed through hydraulie means 12 against the felt. The recirculating and filtering system also comprises a pump 15 and filters 16 and 17. Hydraulic means 10 are employed to swing the crash roller 4 and the associated equipment against the cylinder 1. |
