PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject food having reduced bitterness of Aloe arborescens var. natalensis and improved taste by mixing malic acid to the Aloe arborescens var. natalensis. SOLUTION: This bitterness reducing food contains Aloe arborescens var. natalensis and malic acid. Preferably, an extract solution of leaves of the Aloe arborescens var. natalensis is used in a case of a liquid food such as a drink or a jelly. Preferably, dried powder of leaves of the Aloe arborescens var. natalensis is used in a case of a tablet or powdery food. Preferably, a using amount of the malic acid is 3-10 wt. times to aloin as a component of the Aloe arborescens var. natalensis in a case of powder or a tablet, etc., and 2-80 wt. times in a case of a drink or a jelly. Preferably, a shape of the objective food is a drink or a tablet. The drink is obtained by mixing malic acid to an extract of the Aloe arborescens var. natalensis and diluting with a liquid such as water or seasoning with a sugar, etc., as necessary. The tablet is obtained by adding malic acid to dried powder of Aloe arborescens var. natalensis and press molding by a known method. |
