PHOTORECORD MEDIUM AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photorecord medium which has sufficient strength, no deformation such as curvature, and superior durability and is sufficiently adaptive to high-density recording and its manufacture. SOLUTION: An optical disk 1 has at least a recording layer 4 and a light transmission layer 5 formed on a substrate 2 in order and light is made incident from the side of the light transmission layer 5 to record and/or reproduce an information signal. The substrate 2 has a 1st resin layer 7 forming the surface of the side where the recording layer 4 is formed and a 2nd resin layer 6 which is stacked on the 1st resin layer 7 and formed of a resin material having a larger modulus of bending elasticity than the resin material forming the 1st resin layer 7.
