PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the distribution of paper sheets to a number or branches, at least two branches, by installing a branching unit, by which the path of paper sheets is branched, permitting said unit to be freely swung vertically. CONSTITUTION:When a branching unit 3 is so placed that the pointed head 3c, where the guide planes 3a and 3b cross each other, is positioned above the conveying direction A, a paper sheet P is conveyed to the path 3b along the direction of the guide plane 3b following said guide plane 3b for lower path. Said paper sheet P is further conveyed into a branched path B which is arranged downstream extended from said path 3b. When said pointed head 3c of said branching unit 3 is positioned below the conveying direction A, said paper sheet P is conveyed to the path 3a along the direction of the guide plane 3a following said guide plane 3a for upper path, and further conveyed into a branched path C which is arranged downstream extended from said path 3a. When the inclination of said branching unit 3 is made small so that the extention of said guide plane 3a for upper path of said branching unit 3 is oriented to the funnel-like paper sheet inlet f of a branched path D, the front end of a paper sheet following said guide plane 3a is conveyed to said inlet f and is further conveyed to said branched path D. |
