PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an U-shaped theft preventive device which is capable of eliminating the drawbacks that prior art theft preventive devices suffer from and locking and unlocking without imposing a large load and being compact in size. SOLUTION: In an U-shaped theft preventive device which comprises an U-shaped lock lever 20 and a lock device 1 which engages a claw 5 with a lock hole 20a which the end of the lock lever 20 is inserted into and is provided on the lock lever 2, the U-shaped theft preventive device is provided with a lock device 12, a lock mechanism and a lock lever insertion hole 4b on the lock device 1 one by another on a straight line as viewed in the axial direction of the lock lever 20 where the lock mechanism is provided with the claw 5 engaged with the lock hole 20a provided on the lock lever 20 and a spring 8 constantly energized to the lock device 1. The lock device 12 pushes the lock mechanism against the spring force toward the lock lever insertion hole 4b and provided with a cam 12a which regulates the lock mechanism which engages the claw 5 with the lock hole 20a of the lock lever inserted into the lock lever insertion hole 4b. |
