PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a pager to provide a voice output of a message from a caller. SOLUTION: The pager is provided with a memory 41 storing digital voice data corresponding to data according to a message of a caller. When a call from a caller through the operator is in existence, call means 31, 32 are used to call a carrying person. Data according to a message of the caller are stored in a memory 23. When a reproduction key is operated, digital voice data corresponding to the data stored in the memory 23 are extracted from the memory 41. The extracted digital voice data are converted into an analog voice signal by a D/A converter 43 and fed to a sound unit 45. |
