PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to judge whether or not a document contains necessary information for the operator in a short time by determining the order of translation of respective paragraphs on the basis of logical sections of the respective paragraphs, and translating and displaying the respective paragraphs in the translation order. SOLUTION: A document input part 10 accepts a document from a network, etc. A logical level giving part 20 gives logical levels indicating the translation order to respective elements of a document part of the said received document, and generates and holds a logical level table containing information on the logical levels, positions in the document, etc. A document display part 40 displays the document stored in an internal memory of a display control part 30 on a screen. A translation control part 50 controls a translation part 60 so as to translate the respective paragraphs in the increasing order of the logical level values of the elements in the document according to the said logical level table. Then, the translation part 60 translates English into Japanese under the control of the translation control part 50. |
