3a,6a-Diaryl-2,5-bis(arylimino)- octahydro-imidazo [4,5-d] imidazoles of formula (I) and their salts, hydrates, solvates, and esters are new. R1-R4 = 5-12C aryl or 3-12C heteroaryl (both optionally substituted by CONR6R7, NR6R7, optionally substituted 6-12C aryl, aryloxy, optionally substituted 3-12C cycloalkyl, 1-12C alkyl (optionally substituted by alkoxy, acyloxy, optionally substituted 6-12C aryl, aryloxy, amino, N-acylamino, oxo, hydroxy, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, COOR6, S(O)nR7, nitro, cyano, halo, or protected hydroxy), alkoxy, acyloxy, amino, N-acylamino, nitro, cyano, halo, hydroxy, COOR6, S(O)nR5, or protected hydroxy; n = 0-2; R6, R7 = H or 1-12C alkyl; and R5 = H, or 3-12C cycloalkyl or 6-12C aryl (both optionally substituted), or alkyl (optionally substituted by alkoxy, acyloxy, aryloxy, amino, N-acylamino, oxo, hydroxy, COOR6, S(O)nR7, nitro, cyano, halo, 3-12C cycloalkyl or 6-12C aryl (both optionally substituted), or protected hydroxy. Also new is a method of activating the granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), by administering non-peptide bifunctional ligand. |
