PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a trouble of oil leakage in a shock absorber by using air in place of oil. SOLUTION: A valve body 11 is fixed detachably to a cylinder wall 6, an air passage 16 is drilled through the cylinder wall 6 to be connected to the valve body 11, adjustable flow control valves 13b, 14 which can control the air quantity escaping from the inside of a cylinder 1 to the outside of the cylinder 1 are provided in the valve body 11 while a piston 3 compresses the air in the cylinder 1, and a non-return valve 15 is arranged to feed the air quickly in large quantity to the cylinder 1 when to feed the air to the cylinder 1.
