PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate of which construction cost can be reduced and which is hardly damaged even in a flood and favorably keeps the surrounding landscape. SOLUTION: The gate is provided with an arm 6 rotatable around one end as a supporting point along a perpendicular face substantially parallel to the extending direction of an underground waterway 3, a door body 8 having a substantially circular arc shape along a track formed by the other end of the arm 6 and supported so as to be transferable on a circular arc-shaped track from a position where an opening 4 is closed by the arm 6 to the upper portion of the support point C, and a transfer means 9 moving the door body 8 along the track between a position where the opening 4 is closed and the upper portion of the support point C. Further, a sealing member air-tightly sealing off the gap between the whole periphery of the door body 8 and the internal wail face of the underground waterway is provided in the position where the opening 4 is closed, in the door body 8.
