PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate buffering without any rotation waiting time, and to transfer data to external host equipment without complicating the address control of a read buffer. SOLUTION: This cache device to be used for at least the recording/ reproducing device of data from a recording medium having a track formed like a concentric circle is provide with a track buffer 102 capable of storing at least the data for one track of the recording medium, a read buffer 104 for storing the data from the track buffer 102, and for transferring the data to the outside part, a seek control means 105 for seeking the head of the recording/reproducing device, a buffering means 101 for buffering the data of the recording medium, and for storing the data in the track buffer 102, and a transferring means for transferring the data in the track buffer 102 to the read buffer 104.
