PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating animations matching words and accurately synchronized with the time series of play, by use of data about the animations matching the words, the data being originated without allowing for the time series of the play. SOLUTION: In a karaoke (sing-along music) device which outputs accompanying music and an animation adapted solely for the words of a piece of music, by processing karaoke data including music data about the piece of music designated, data about the animation matching the words, and control data for the display of the words, the data about the animation matching the words consist of a succession of very short animations each involving a certain number of frames classified to match each character of the character string for the words, and the control data for the display of the words include sign start time data and sing end time data for each character of word character string data and the word character string data, and when the very short animation which matches one character corresponding to the time to sing is outputted in parallel with the process of outputting the accompanying music, the certain number of frames involved in that animation are allocated to the characters at almost equal intervals from the time to start singing to the time to end singing and are displayed in sequence. |
