PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for a vehicle, which is superior in static electricity breakdown voltage, and in which an appropriate arrangement of reverse connection prevention circuit becomes possible, and the function of EMC countermeasures for discharge lamp lighting device can be made superior. SOLUTION: A dc power source 1 and a discharge lamp lighting device 5 to turn on the discharge lamp by obtaining a driving electric power from the dc power source 1 are respectively arranged at prescribed positions of the vehicle. Body of the vehicle is made as a car body ground 10, and a terminal of one side polarity of the dc power source 1 is connected with the car body ground 10. Then, on the side of the discharge lamp lighting device 5, a shield 7 is connected with the line of the discharge lamp lighting device 5 corresponding to the car body ground 10, and on the other hand, on the side of the discharge lamp lighting device 5, a shield 6 is connected with a car body ground 11. |
