<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational transmission member and its manufacturing method, which requires no special shaping work to prevent the part of a metal insert member joined to a resin gear from releasing and peeling. <P>SOLUTION: The rotational transmission member includes: the shaft-shape metal insert member 12 having a first gear part 11 or 111 on the outer periphery; and a resin gear 14 formed by resin-molding on the outer periphery on one end side of the metal insert member to have a second gear part 13 or 113 on the outer periphery of the resin gear. The first gear part is formed substantially over the whole length of the metal insert member.
