<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a flexible member from falling down, and to facilitate the fitting operation of the flexible member. <P>SOLUTION: In the fitting structure of the flexible member, a fitting hole 2 opened upward in the axial direction is formed at the upper end of a cylindrical body 1 such as an axial cylinder of a writing utensil and a cap, and the flexible member 3 is inserted into the fitting hole 2. An inward projection 21 is formed on the inner peripheral face of the fitting hole 2, and an outward projection 51 is formed on the outer peripheral face of the flexible member 3. The outward projection 51 crosses over the inward projection 21 from the upper part to the lower part, and the flexible member 3 is inserted into the fitting hole 2. Below the outward projection 51 of the flexible member 3, a downward extending part 53 with a smaller outer diameter than the minimum inner diameter of the inward projection 21 is formed. On the outer peripheral face of the flexible member 3 above the outward projection 51, an expanding part 52 with a larger outer diameter than the maximum outer diameter of the outward projection 51 is formed.
