<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for achieving both long-term and short-term productivity goals in production systems having only the limited number of sensors deployed therein. <P>SOLUTION: A production control system includes: a planner operatively coupled with the production system to provide one or more plans for execution in the plant, based on at least one production goal; a plant model operatively coupled to the planner and including a model of the plant; and a diagnosis engine operatively coupled to the planner, the production system, and the model, and operating to determine a current plant condition based on a previously executed plan, corresponding observation from the plant, and the plant model. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
