In this cash processing device: the conveying path is divided into a first section between a separation unit and a conveyance destination switching means, a second section between the conveyance destination switching means and an accumulating unit, and a third section between the destination switching means and a jammed banknote accumulating unit to control the conveyance; the portion of the conveying path where a jam is located is driven to control elimination of the jam; and the jammed banknote is controlled to be stored in the jammed banknote accumulating unit by being conveyed through the divisions of the first section, the second section, and the third section. |
