PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material in which coloring sensitivity of an image part and shelf stability and specially plasticizer resistance and oil resistance and furthermore heat resistance are excellent. SOLUTION: The thermal recording material has a thermal coloring layer which contains both leuco dye and a developer coloring this leuco dye at time of heating as a main component on a supporting body. At least one kind of the following compound (e.g. phthalamide dimerization material) is used as the developer. The compound has two or more aromatic rings having an electron-donating functional group (e.g. hydroxyl group, alkoxyl group, sulfonyloxy group, alkyl group, aralkyl group, aryl group or the like) and carboxyl group as a substituent group per one molecule. |
