PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor having a cylindrical resin cover portion which is on a protective cover located on a rear end of the gas sensor and is designed to be twisted while being pushed in, and which is free from quality deterioration and shape defects and is difficult for fingers to slip thereon when being held.SOLUTION: An outer peripheral surface 62 of a cylindrical cover portion 61 is provided with a plurality of longitudinal ribs 63 extending substantially in parallel with an axial direction of the cylinder to form radially protruded and recessed portions thereon such that it is difficult for the fingers to slip when holding and twisting the cylindrical cover portion 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
