PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium having properties which remain unchanged, if information is repeatedly played back by providing on a substrate a recording film containing two kinds of cyanine color of specific components with an absorption wavelength peaking within a specific range at a specific weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:A recording film provided on a substrate consists of cyanine color having an absorption wavelength peaking in the range of 300 to 690nm as shown by formula I and cyanine color having an absorption wavelength peaking in the range of 690 to 850nm as shown by formula II at a weight ratio of 10:1 to 100:1. In the formula, R<1>, R<4> are a C1-4 alkyl group, R<2>, R<3>, R<5>, R<6> are a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a C1-10 alkyl group respectively, R<7> is a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom or a phenyl group, and X<1->, X<2-> are a halogen atom, and an anion selected from a group of perchloric acid, benzenesulfonic acid and toluene-sulfonic acid. A hydrogen atom placed at the meso position of a methyl chain may be substituted with a phenyl group, and n is 1 or 2. |
