The odour trap (G) is particularly for a floor drain, having a pot (D) open to the top, and from whose bottom a drain shaft (B) runs upwards. A sealing bell (L) is inverted over the passage, its wall (15) extending between those (4, T) of shaft and pot in the downwards direction, its bottom edge (16) forming with the shaft top edge (13) the sealing height (H). A flow-guiding component (S) is fitted onto the shaft wall (4) being typically in the form of a cladding sleeve on the inside and/or outside. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple to produce and give max. outflow rate.
