<p>The device serves for connecting a steering column of a motor vehicle to a stub shaft (12) of a steering gear. The device has a coupling element of U-shaped cross section, in the side flanges (3, 4) of which bores (6, 7) aligned with one another, are provided for receiving a clamping screw (2). The one bore (7) receives a locking bolt (16), secured to prevent it rotating and having a longitudinal bore, which bolt is pressed by a spring (19) acting on its outer side against a stop. The inner end face is designed as a wedge-shaped incline (23). A bush (9) covering the bore (7) receiving the locking bolt (16) is fixed on the outside of the side flange (3) of the coupling element (1) carrying the locking bolt (16). In this bush (9) is a helical spring (19) which is supported on the one hand on the base of the bush (9) and on the other on the outside of the locking bolt (16). A threaded bore (11) for the clamping screw (8) aligned with the longitudinal bore (21) of the locking bolt is provided in the base of the bush (9). …<IMAGE>… </p> |
