PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesive strength of polarizing plate with the surface of panel. SOLUTION: When producing a liquid crystal device 1, substrates 2 and 3, on which insulated films or orientation control films are formed, are stuck together and liquid crystal 5 is injected into the gap between these substrates 2 and 3. Then, a touch angle θW of water on the outside surfaces of substrates 2 and 3 is made smaller than 60 deg. or otherwise, surface energy γ is made higher than 40dyne/cm. Afterwards, polarizing plates 6 and 7 or the like are stuck, a back light device B is assembled and the liquid crystal device 1 is produced. In this case, since the touch angle θW of water on the outside surfaces of substrates 2 and 3 is made smaller than 60 deg. or the surface energy γ is made higher than 40dyne/cm, the adhesive force of polarizing plates stuck on the outside surfaces is improved. |
