摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly measure a roll profile even under such measurement conditions that a roll eccentrically rotates by changing over moving speed of a distance sensor, extracting higher order components from distance data when moving at a lower speed and lower order components from distance data when moving at a higher speed and overlapping both. SOLUTION: A sensor mount 24 with two water-column-type ultrasonic distance sensors 20a, 20b mounted is moved by a mount moving mechanism 26 in a roll axis direction, and its moving speed is changed over a lower moving speed V1 and a higher moving speed V2 by a moving speed changeover mechanism 30. A roll profile calculation device 28 extracts higher order components such as local friction included in lower speed distance data which is detected while moving at the lower moving speed V1 by a HPF 32, while it extracts lower order components representing thermal expansion of a roll included in higher speed distance data detected while moving at the higher moving speed V2 by a LPF 34. These extracted data are added by an adder 36 thereby being overlapped, for calculating a roll profile.</p>
