<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, by lighting blocked paper and providing an operational mark for the blocked paper when a paper jam is detected in a paper feeding path. SOLUTION: When paper jam occurs to a feeding roller section 9, the paper jam is detected by a paper-jam detecting sensor 3. Then, on the basis of detecting signals output from the paper-jam detecting sensor 3, lighting sections 5, 6 which are arranged above a paper feeding path 2 corresponding to a paper- jam occurring point are lighted up, and blocked paper is lightened. An operator who intends to remove the blocked paper 4 can see the reflected light through a window placed on a door of a cabinet to recognize a paper-jam occurring position properly. Because a slit section 7a which is an arrow-shaped and formed on an indicating board 7 between the lighting section 5 and the paper feeding path 2, an arrow-shaped light is irradiated and reflected on the blocked paper 4 to provide an operational mark S1 for it. The arrow-shaped operational mark S1 indicates a direction to remove paper jam.</p> |
