PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor enhanced in electrophotographic characteristics, mechanical strength, its production efficiency or the like and good in abrasion resistance, chargeability characteristics and quality. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor 10 is obtained by forming a photosensitive layer 4 comprising a charge generating layer 2 containing a charge generating material and a charge transfer layer 3 containing a charge transfer material on a conductive substrate 1, and the charge transfer layer 3 is formed by using a binder resin obtained by mixing at least 2 kinds of resins, that is the first resin, such as polycarbonate, having a viscosity average molecular weight of 35,000-<80,000, and the other resin having a viscosity average molecular weight of 5,000-<25,000, and a mixing mass ratio of the above charge transfer material to the above binder resin is in the range of 40:60-60:40.
