PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extinguishing apparatus requiring no piping for a fire extinguisher gas, being easily installed and adapt to be fixed onto each of cubicles. SOLUTION: The extinguishing apparatus quenches a fire by discharging the fire extinguisher gas to make a concentration of the fire extinguisher gas inside a district to be quenched be above a quenching concentration, wherein a gas generator 1 provided with a gas generating agent 5 installed for generating the fire extinguisher gas through reaction produced by an ignition device 3 igniting at a time of a fire and ignition thereof. |
