PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can exert a high-speed performance in monochromic printing without increasing driving circuits. SOLUTION: There are provided a first switching circuit 4a in which inputs of B2 (black) printing data as monochromic printing data and Y(yellow) printing data are held in a manner to be freely switchable and which outputs either of the printing data to a Y printing head-driving circuit 3c on the basis of a switching signal, and a second switching circuit 4b in which an output of the Y printing head-driving circuit 3c is held in a manner to be freely switchable to a B2 printing head 1e and a Y printing head 1c and which switches to output to the B2 printing head 1e on the basis of the switching signal when the first switching circuit 4a is switched to the B2 (black) printing data input. |
