PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an operating device of a vehicle seat having a reclining mechanism and a slide mechanism. SOLUTION: An occupant can easily operate a slide operation part X and a reclining operation part Y in a comfortable posture of seating on a seat cushion 2 by disposing the slide operation part X and the reclining operation part Y close to a side part of the seat cushion 2, and high operability can be obtained. Further improvement of the operability can be expected by selectively operating the slide operation part X and the reclining operation part Y by the selective operation of a single operating member 8. In addition, wrong operation of the operating member 8 can be prevented, and the operational reliability can be ensured by providing a selecting means 14 for uniquely permitting the operation of the operating member 8.
