PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily switch between a coaxial vertically incident light illumination and an oblique light illumination in a state where a coaxial vertically incident light illumination device is still attached to a stereomicroscope. SOLUTION: A mirror 21 is provided to be able to be inserted in/pulled out from respective illumination optical axes q and q' in an illumination switching frame 9 attached to the edge part 7a of an objective lens 7.
