PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp type leakage current meter which is light and excellent in workability. SOLUTION: A dividing section 18 is formed at the tip part of a clamp section 10, a part for housing a magnetic core 16 on the tip side is formed as a stationary-part case 11, and a part for housing a magnetic core 17 is formed as a movable-part case 12. Along with supporting the movable-part case 12 rotatably with respect to the stationary-part case 11 by providing a rotating shaft 15 on the opposite side of the base end part 14 of the stationary-part case 11 interposing the opening 13 of the dividing part, a crankshaft 25 is provided at a position separated from the rotating shaft 15 of the movable-part case 12 by a predetermined distance. A slidable slide knob 20 is provided on a sidewall of the base end part of the stationary-part case 11, a crank member 26 which engages the movable shaft 24 to the shaft fixing part 22 of the slide knob 20 and unites the movable shaft 24 to the crankshaft 25 is provided, and the movable-part case 12 is made freely-movable with respect to the stationary-part case 11 by sliding the slide knob 20.
