PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a CCD substrate itself must be machined with high accuracy and high planarity and positional accuracy must be sustained when the CCD substrate is arranged on a base constituting an image sensor while being positioned. SOLUTION: The image sensor comprises a long cover arranged with a lens array, and a long base arranged with a long CCD substrate opposing the lens array and mounting a plurality of light receiving elements wherein the CCD substrate is molded integrally with the resin base.
