Use of a powdery composition (I) comprising 50-95 wt.% of an aqueous solvent, hydrophobic silicon dioxide powder and at least a film-forming and/or stabilizing polymer, to the temporary deformation of keratin fibers. An independent claim is included for a powdery styling agent comprising 50-90 wt.% of aqueous solvent, hydrophobic silicon dioxide powder and at least 5.5-15 wt.% of film-forming and/or stabilizing polymer.
