摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a flat plate glass is provided between a collimator lens and a cylindrical lens for adjusting the position of an optical axis in a subscanning direction, however, a turning mechanism of the flat plate glass cannot be made compact in a conventional structure. SOLUTION: The beam adjustment mechanism includes: a translucent plate 22 which includes an incident face and an emission face parallel to the incident face, passes a beam which is made incident to the incident face and emits the beam from the emission face; and a holder 23 which holds and turns the translucent plate 22 to vary the incident angle of the beam to the incident face. The turning axis of the translucent plate 22 is parallel to the incident face and is provided in the translucent plate 22 on the side closer to the incident face than a virtual central face located at the central position of the incident face and the emission face.
