According to embodiments of the present invention, disclosed are a property managing device and a method of operating the same. The device may comprise: an account information database including information on the assets of a client which can be displayed as an account and managed, information on concerned parties having interests in the value or the liquidation of the assets due to legal or contractual stipulations, properties information on set reasons for restricting transactions involving the assets, properties information on whether to restrict the liquidation of the assets, and properties information on whether to authorize the concerned parties to take measures to negate any reasons that should arise for restricting transactions involving the assets; a state detecting module for monitoring assets for which reasons for restricting transactions are set, and detecting generation of reasons for restricting transactions involving the assets; a settings managing module for setting restrictions to measures that can be taken with respect to the assets for which the reasons for restricting transactions have been provided, by referring to the account information database; an authorization determining module for determining whether to authorize the concerned parties to take measures to negate the provided reasons for restricting transactions involving the assets, by referring to the account information database; and a liquidating module for authorizing the liquidation of the assets when the authorization determining module determines that the concerned parties have approved of the liquidation.
