PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional object molding apparatus that reduces ruggedness by dots upon molding a three-dimensional object having a smooth surface and that prevents color irregularity in a three-dimensional molded object.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional object molding system 100 includes: approximating means for approximating a model representing a shape and hue of a three-dimensional object to be molded into a set of unit moldings each having a predetermined parallelepiped shape and comprising one or a plurality of dots; and separation means for separating the unit moldings into a first unit molding having a coloring material component in an amount necessary to represent the hue of the model and a second unit molding having a coloring material component in an amount that is reduced in accordance with a predetermined variable from the amount necessary to represent the hue of the model. When two or more faces of six faces constituting a unit molding constitute an inner or outer surface of a colored layer that has a predetermined thickness inward from the surface of the three-dimensional object and represents the hue of the model, the separation means discriminates that unit molding as the second unit molding and determines a predetermined variable in accordance with a percentage of the second unit moldings occupying the colored layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
