<p>Knitting machine Jacquard device having an auxiliary bed in which diposed pattern selecting sinkes displaced by pulses derived from a store has each of the sinkers provided with a permanent magnet, coil and a pole shoe which are disposed on a shaft. Magnets, coils and shoes are arranged along the shaft and held in positin by bars disposed about the periphery of the coils. For selection of the sinkers the magnetic field of the permanent magnets is weakened with the aid of the pulses derived from the store. Weakened field allows the biasing spring to displace the sinkes into their selected positions. Sinker selection time is reduced.</p> |
